Tammy Shadbolt

  • Permanent Part-time Veterinary Surgeon

At the weekends, Tammy splits her expertise across all three of our practices, while during the week she teaches the undergraduate vet and postgraduate Masters courses at the Royal Veterinary College, where she gained her own Masters in wild animal health. She also holds an honours degree in veterinary conservation medicine from Liverpool Vet School and, not one to rest on her laurels, is now working towards her PhD, researching a new contagious cancer affecting endangered Tasmanian devils in the wild. She’s a globetrotter, too, working with street dogs and cats and an array of wild animals in Botswana, Panama, Fiji, South Africa and Thailand, alongside the Worldwide Veterinary Service and associated charities.
